FREE PATTERN: One-Skein Cowl

I made up this pattern upon request of one of my new followers, who wanted a cowl similar to the Easy Twisted Cowl pattern I have on my blog, but just a bit smaller. So I made up this pattern, and I am so glad I did! This cowl is like a mini version of the Easy Twisted Cowl - perfect for keeping your neck warm without a lot of extra bulk! This cowl works up SO easily - basic stitches make it easy enough for a brand-new beginner to try out! And the best part . . . it only uses one skein of yarn!

1 skein worsted weight yarn - 200 yards (I used Bernat Waverly)
H (5.00mm) crochet hook
Tapestry needle

1. Loosely ch 164. Dc in 2nd chain from hook and each across. [162]
2-11. Ch 2, turn. Dc in each stitch across. [162]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Put short sides together and sew them up using the long tail.
Weave in ends.

That's it! You could easily add a twist by twisting the cowl before you sew it up, like in my Easy Twisted Cowl.

Please feel free to make and donate as many of these cowls as you like,  I just ask that you give credit to my blog if you sell them online. Thanks!

Enjoy the free pattern - I would love to see pictures if you make it :)
