Pattern requests? suggestions?

Hello all! Just a quick post letting you know that I am open to suggestions for free patterns if you have ideas . . . I have quite a few patterns to write up because of the promotion I held last week, and although I have many of the patterns written, I still have several to do . . . and this is where you come in!

Just comment on this post or email me at jaysboutique.etsy@gmail.com and let me know what free patterns YOU would like to see! They can be general ideas, specific requests, anything at all! (I'm not gauranteeing that every one will be made, this just gives me an idea of what you like).

I have worked together with a few already with specific patterns and have loved it! I really hope I hear from some of you so I can get ideas and inspiration! Thanks so much in advance :)

  1. Hello! I'm a new follower:) and I would like a tutorial on a 3-10 year old hat/beanie. Or just children's hats in general...I would try to create my own pattern, but I've been creating different sized headbands from newborn to adult and I'm getting lazy! So I would really love to see a simple children hat patterns.
    Thank you!!!

    1. Hi Jess, Thanks for following! If you would like a coupon towards my etsy store, email me at jaysboutique.etsy@gmail.com.
As far as the hats, do you want just a simple beanie - no special stitches? Or maybe some fun stitch to give it more texture. Because I am preparing some fun lacy hats to be released soon. But if you are after more of a simple style I can certainly do that as well.
      Let me know!

    2. I was thinking a simple style, just a basic beanie for a child 3-10 years old that would be great!

  3. First I want to thank you for the free patterns . They are all so nice I was having a hard time picking what to make first. Since my baby is having her 1st baby in June I am going to make the booties with the bow first. I would love to make a matching hat. Thanks again!

    1. Ahh you're so sweet! Your comment came at just the right time - I recently got a negative comment asking me to remove one of my favorite patterns so your comment is so refreshing! I love the idea of the matching bow hat. Thanks for the suggestion!

    2. You are most welcome. The hat was very pretty. I have made many hats for my new granddaughter and would have liked to have made that one too. I think that there are so many crochters that there would have been people interested in both patterns. Don't let this get you down you have a talent for crafting and creating patterns. Take care and thanks again

  4. I'm stuck...trying the baby booties with the bows. The instructioins say to chain 11. then...1. Hdc in 2nd chain from hook and and next 8, 3 hdc in last, (working in backside of chains), hdc in next 8, 2 hdc in last, sl st to 1st hdc.
If you only chain 11, and you work in 9 of the stitches, where are the second 8 that you hdc in?

  6. Hi! I have made your house slippers a couple times now. If I can make a recommendation, here it is: In the second to last row (heel end), in the center 6 stitches, make 3 dc2tog to 'cinch' up the heel and form a more rounded shape. Last row, dc the entire length. I found that this eliminates the pointy heel end and makes it a bit more comfortable on the heel as the seam ends half an inch above the floor so you aren't stepping on it. I also finish off the edge with a contrast yarn in a sl st. This is an excellent pattern and I absolutely love it!
